Wallet
To use SkullSwap you need a MetaMask wallet connected to the Fantom Opera network. For information on MetaMask, visit their website.
MetaMask by default only supports the Ethereum network. However, when you connect MetaMask to SkullSwap, SkullSwap will automatically configure MetaMask to work with Fantom Opera. To perform transactions on SkullSwap or any other Fantom protocols, you will need FTM for gas.
Here is a more detailed step-by-step tutorial:
First, go to the Metamask website (https://metamask.io/) and click on the "Get Chrome Extension" button.
Click "Add to Chrome" and then click "Add Extension" to install the Metamask extension in your Chrome browser.
Click on the Metamask icon in the top right corner of your browser.
Click "Create a Wallet" and then follow the prompts to create a secure password for your wallet. Make sure to save this password in a safe place, as it will be needed to access your wallet in the future.
Once your wallet is created, you will be given a seed phrase. This is a series of words that can be used to recover your wallet if you lose access to it. Again, make sure to save this seed phrase in a safe place.
Next, you will need to connect your wallet to the Fantom network. To do this, click on the network dropdown in the top left corner of the Metamask window and select "Custom RPC".
In the "New RPC URL" field, enter the following URL: https://rpc.ftm.tools/. Then, give your custom network a name (e.g. "Fantom Mainnet"), Chain Id should be "250", the native token can be named "FTM" and click "Save".
Your wallet is now connected to the Fantom network. To interact with the network, you will need to have some FTM (Fantom's native cryptocurrency). You can purchase FTM from a cryptocurrency exchange and then send it to your Metamask wallet.
To send FTM from an exchange to your Metamask wallet, you will need to get your wallet's address. To do this, click on the "Receive" tab in Metamask and copy the address shown.
Go to your exchange and navigate to the withdrawal or send page. Paste your Metamask wallet address into the recipient field and enter the amount of FTM you want to send. Then, follow the prompts to complete the transaction.
Once your FTM has been sent and confirmed on the Fantom network, it will appear in your Metamask wallet. You can then use it to interact with the Fantom network, such as by sending it to another wallet or using it to interact with a smart contract.
